Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children, coaching my son’s football team (and occasionally joining in on the pitch myself), as well as playing a round of golf when time allows.

Born and raised in the Chilterns, I have a wealth of knowledge of the local area. I joined Tim Russ in 2023. I have always had a keen interest in property and my father especially enjoyed his time as an estate agent in the Princes Risborough area. One of the things I most like about estate agency is that every day is different. I’m a keen driver and enjoy riding motorcycles when the weather permits. I also enjoy travelling and experimenting and tasting different and new foods.

I already had four years’ estate agency experience when I joined Tim Russ & Company in April 2015 and have been putting that to good use running lettings for our Thame, Haddenham and Princes Risborough offices. I live in Berkhamsted with my partner and our three children. In my spare time, I enjoy walking with the family and our dogs and socialising with friends. In 2012, I was privileged to serve as a Games Maker at the Olympics. I learnt sign language for the role and am now a fluent ‘signer’.

Graduating from Manchester University in 1989 with a BSc Hons in Modern Languages and European Studies, I spent eight years in Europe working in IT management. A lifelong passion for architecture and design led me to return to the UK at 30 to study Interior Design and launch a successful property renovation business. While house-hunting, I joined Tim Russ as a part-time viewings assistant—a role I love for its perfect blend of people and property. Outside work, I’m passionate about travel, especially in North Africa and the Middle East, having followed the Nile from Khartoum to Alexandria and slept under desert stars—experiences that continue to inspire me.

Jonathan was educated at Berkhamsted and brought up in the Chilterns, beginning his career in estate agency in the 1980s. He has worked in private partnerships as well as the corporate sector, predominantly in Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and the West Country for more than 35 years; specialising primarily in the sale of Country Homes, Agricultural and Equestrian properties. He has two grown up sons and a daughter.

When not immersed in his work or garden, Jonathan is an avid follower of most sports and is attempting to find his way back to the Golf Course!
