With a population of around 8,500, Wendover is a thriving village community which caters for young and old alike. There are numerous pre-school groups and the infant, junior and secondary schools are all on the same campus, with a choice of Grammar Schools easily accessible. For those seeking further education, colleges at Aylesbury and Amersham are within easy reach by train. There are a number of residential and nursing homes as well as sheltered accommodation for more senior citizens.

Excellent public transport serves the local community with regular bus and train services. A journey to London Marylebone takes less than 50 minutes, and the A41, M25, M40 and M1 are all within easy reach.

There are an excellent range of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés which are complimented by the local market which takes place every Thursday and specialist markets on some Saturdays. Within the village there is a bank, post office, library, doctor, dentist, churches for most religious denominations and numerous clubs and societies. Many sporting facilities are located within a five mile radius including golf, bowls, tennis, squash and swimming.

There are also many beautiful walks to enjoy in Wendover Woods, Coombe Hill and along the former canal towpath.

Nearby villages include Weston Turville, Butlers Cross, Ellesborough, Stoke Mandeville, Aston Clinton, Dunsmore, St.Leonards, The Lee and Cholesbury.

Apologies for the late reply but moving house does tend to eat into any spare time you might have hoped for as we have learned since moving in to our new home. Both Keith and I have been more than satisfied with the service and genuine care that we have received from all members of your staff from the first visit when we popped in to the office to the final collection of our Keys. Furthermore, our concerns and queries were dealt with immediately and always with the utmost courtesy and real interest.

The office runs like a family concern which is especially relevant when dealing with the trauma of moving from one home to another. Finally, to Adrian and all staff at the Wendover office, our sincere thanks for all your efforts to ensure that our move went as smoothly as it did with the minimum of stress.
